15 Days
100 Hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh

The 100-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is a fifteen-day immersion built for people meeting a real yoga practice for the first time, or returning to one after years away. It draws on two lineages, Hatha and Iyengar, chosen because both prioritise correct alignment and a slow, attentive pace over speed or intensity.
A Day at the Ashram
Every day follows the same rhythm practiced across every program at Prakruti: an early Hatha Yoga and alignment class, breakfast, a mid-morning Kundalini Yoga session, meditation and pranayama work before lunch, an Ayurvedic lunch, an afternoon of alignment and adjustment practice, a philosophy and Ayurveda session, self study time, and an evening Ashtanga Vinyasa class before dinner. The structure repeats daily so the body and mind settle into it, rather than treating each day as a new decision.
What You Will Cover
The fifteen days move through asana and alignment, an introduction to pranayama and meditation, the foundations of yoga philosophy from the Yoga Sutras, and an introduction to Ayurveda and daily lifestyle practices. Anatomy and safe modification are taught alongside the postures themselves, not as a separate theoretical block.
Who This Course Is For
This program suits beginners who are curious about authentic yoga practice, philosophy and meditation for the first time, as well as returning practitioners looking to deepen existing knowledge inside a residential community. It is not a certification course. Graduates who want to teach continue directly into the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training, where this same foundation is built out into a full, Yoga Alliance certified curriculum.
Life at the School
Every program includes shared or private accommodation, three Ayurvedic meals a day, RO-filtered water, daily housekeeping and a free door-to-door transfer from Dehradun airport. Batches are capped at 15 students.
The Hands and the Feet
Every advanced posture you will ever attempt rests on what you do with your palms and your feet. Darshan's first-week teaching on this is what most students describe, even ones who have practiced for years elsewhere, as the moment they realized how much they had been compensating.
The Breath, Not Breathing Exercises
You will learn Nadi Shodhana, Kapalbhati, Trataka, and the foundational shatkarmas including Jal Neti. More importantly, the principle that gives pranayama its name: the movement of prana, and what it means to direct it.
Yoga Philosophy as a Living Lens
An introduction to the Yoga Sutras, the eight limbs, the concept of Prakriti, and Samkhya as a practical map of the mind, taught as a way of seeing rather than material to memorize.
Mantra, Sound and Nada Yoga
The science of vibration, the meaning behind Aum, and foundational mantras with their context, drawn from a Gwalior gharana lineage in Indian classical music, a rare thread in any TTC.
Yoga Nidra
The first skill of a serious practitioner is the ability to consciously rest. You will learn the practice and the framework, the four states of consciousness, that gives it its power.
Hatha Asana: Foundations & Alignment
Postures taught correctly, not impressively. The philosophy behind each asana, anatomy as it relates to practice, and how to progress safely over years, not push through in two weeks.
Also Covered in the Curriculum
Beyond the six pillars above, the 100-hour course covers the following as part of daily instruction:
- The Eight Limbs of Yoga: Yamas and Niyamas
- Philosophy behind Asanas
- Concentration (Dharana) and its power
- Kundalini: introduction and context

- Breathing & Pranayama Practices
- Satkarma: cleansing exercises
- Relaxation and preparation for Yogic Sleep
- Meditation
- Yoga Anatomy & Physiology
- Introduction to Indian Classical Arts & Music
